Dean is an Australian artist working in the fields of photography, installation and video. Her work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world.

Alongside two-dimensional photographic prints she also creates tangible, sensory experiences around her works, such as her 2018 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art installation ‘Stream of Consciousness’ and 2016 UNSW installation ‘Here-and-Now’. Both multi-sensory installations, these works are exciting conceptual developments in her practice and reflect contemporary photography’s emergent and expanding fields.
