The Newcastle Art Gallery Youth Advisory Group acknowledges the Awabakal and Worimi people as the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live, and pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present and future. The Youth Advisory Group is dedicated to honouring the culture and traditions of our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through the visual arts.

Jemima Hodge is a multidisciplinary queer, Filipino creative from Newcastle with a focus on lino prints, illustration, traditional sign painting and pinstriping.
Graduated from Newcastle Art School in 2015, she takes inspiration from queer culture, religious ideologies, Kustom Kulture, Australiana icons and the psychoanalysis of the everyday.
Hodge has exhibited in small, local galleries, and also creates graphic designs and hand-painted signage for small businesses.
