David Lobb

David Lobb (a.k.a. LOVEDAVID) is a multi-disciplinary artist with a staggering arsenal of tools and tactics under his belt. Conceptually, Lobb’s work focuses on an embrace of feeling; intimate exchanges between close ones, over-sharing between strangers, and dialogues with oneself. The unique set of constraints that come with digital mediums, ones that often beg for experimental approaches, have given birth to Lobb’s instantly recognisable visuals and animations.

Recent creative projects have included collaborating with Japanese artist KOM_i, design/identity for the anti-annual 2020, animation projects for artists and clients e4444e, Chet, UNSW, sydfest. Mutual Flourish (Album) and KUFKUF (a life-art wear, interpretainment brand).

In February 2021, Lobb was one part of Invisible Stone, a multidisciplinary theatrical collaboration between Lobb, Romy Church (e4444e) and Skip Willcox that incorporated sound, performance and visuals. The project, which is to see another iteration presented in 2022, encapsulates Lobb’s intrigue for the immersive, collaborative and experimental.
